Nurses plan Tuesday picket at UM Health-Sparrow hospital

LANSING — Off-duty nurses plan to picket the University of Michigan Health-Sparrow hospital late Tuesday afternoon.

A contract between health care workers and the health care system expired almost two weeks ago on Oct. 30, and nurses want to raise awareness about why they’re seeking better pay, less costly health insurance and safer workplaces without a work stoppage.
